Armstrong Williams Snags Leadership Award

SPOTTED: A smiling Armstrong Williams accepting the President’s Leadership Award in Telecommunications and National Community Service, the highest honor awarded by the National Bar Association, over the weekend in Las Vegas.

The group says it’s the country’s “oldest and largest national association of predominantly African-American lawyers, judge educators and law students.”

 

National civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump, the association’s president, presented the award, calling Williams a “visionary and media powerhouse force in our nation.”

Williams — who told The Hill last year he has a “brother-like” relationship with GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson — has worn many hats, including as a conservative radio personality, a political operative and a TV station owner.
