Can Donald Trump Garner the Black Vote?
As America becomes more and more diverse, African-American's are a necessary vote to court. However, it has been a seemingly daunting task for anyone with an R behind their name to attract America's second oldest minority community.
However, Donald Trump may have an opportunity to garner 12 to 15 percent of the African-American vote, which would be a game changer. A may seem far-fetched to some, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities. Many within the African-American community aren't sold on Hillary Clinton, they find her untrustworthy and bad for the African-American community. Particularly, when you look at her past as it pertains to policing and the Black community. This could give the Trump the ammunition he needs if he listens to the concerns of the community, focus on job creation, entrepreneurship, and poverty alleviation he could do surprisingly well with many African-Americans.
Democrats shouldn't take for granted the African-American vote because Trump's talk of personal empowerment and economic alleviation is something that could hit home for many African-Americans.
