Today is the 25th anniversary of Justice Clarence Thomas' nomination to the high court. I had the distinct honor of working for Justice Thomas in the 80's before his nomination and during that time, I got to know someone with great intellect who is guided by principle and faith.
The Supreme Court has a great impact on our society. Many of the decisions made by the court can change the trajectory of the country for generations to come, so it's important to have justices who understand the constitution who are principled. The justice has written, "more concurring opinion or dissents and planting seeds that, though they had no immediate impact, may eventually flower by the strength of their reason." He truly represents the best of our country and today I honor and congratulate him on serving 25 years on the highest court!
