In the United States of America, we have had the incredible benefit of being separated from our adversaries by oceans on each side. We also enjoy peaceful borders with friendly neighbors to our north and south. This has provided our country with distinct defensive advantages.
But in this day and age, dangerous and hostile regimes across the world pose a direct threat to the homeland, and they know that one of the best ways to flex their muscles on a global scale is to develop intercontinental ballistic missiles that can strike America.
Iran has already developed the Shahab-3, a dangerous long-range missile that brings all of Europe within striking range. Considering how the regime loves to declare “Death to America!” and call our country “The Great Satan,” it does not seem too far-fetched to assume that Tehran is interested in developing a missile capable of hitting us.
And Iran is hardly the only threat. North Korea already has a nuclear capacity and long-range missiles. The world is currently on high alert after the recent cyber security attacks which many believe were launched by North Korea digital soldiers engaged in electronic warfare. North Korea is now boasting it has the missile capacity of reaching the US mainland. Every day, the stakes are raised.
